Winter Challenge: About the Double

This year, as a special racing treat for Winter Challenge enthusiasts, we are offering “the Double.” In addition to providing you with 46 fun-filled miles of racing bliss, we assure you the top prizes in this category will be GRAND. Stay tuned to the website for more info on awards.

Participants of both our Classic Winter Challenge and the Double will start together, only, the Double participants will complete the entire circuit a second time, “transitioning” a total of five times. It must be understood that once participants commit to running the double they may not reverse their decision midstream. Out of fairness to all participants, it cannot be a case of, “I’ll see how I feel” at the end of the first circuit. Anything short of completing the full 2 circuits will result in a DNF (did not finish).

Relay teams are also encouraged to double down! The format will be the same for relay participants as for solo particpants.

More Good News
All participants completing the double will be awarded a handsome finisher’s prize. Competitors who register for the double before the end of the day December 1, will qualify for 3 Outspokin waterbottles to carry with them on their quest. We are also considering a special course preview for those of you who desire to devour the sweetness of racing 46 blissful miles, so register early.

How Can you Register?
Easy. Simply register for the Classic at: Set Up Events, and then email chris@winterchallenge.com of your intention to double your fun! Don’t worry, it won’t be lost and all participants will be held accountable for all challenges, bets, boasts, etc. (That includes you DeWitt).
